About Melissa
I have spent 11 years teaching Computer Programming to students from many different backgrounds, ranging from complete beginners taking their first steps in coding to advanced learners preparing for professional careers in software development. I hold an M.Sc in Software Engineering, which has given me deep academic and practical understanding of how software systems are designed, built, and improved. My experience has shown me that programming is not only about writing correct code, but also about developing structured thinking, patience, and problem-solving strength. I truly enjoy guiding students through the process of turning confusion into clarity and ideas into working programs.
My teaching philosophy is based on adaptability, encouragement, and deep understanding. I believe that every learner deserves explanations that match their pace, style, and confidence level. I use step-by-step breakdowns, visual analogies, and real-world examples to make abstract concepts approachable. Whether a student is learning basic syntax, mastering object-oriented programming, or exploring algorithmic efficiency, I provide supportive feedback that builds long-term confidence.
