About Nirmal
Hello, I'm Nirmal, I am currently attending Texas Tech to get my Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science and Math. When I came to college, I realized that not a lot of people pursue a degree in Computer Science, mainly because they think they're not good enough and so I started my own startup where our main objective was to train recent graduates on tools and services people use once they go into the CS industry. Here we work with students with a broad range of experience. From sophomores from university to engineers who have been in the industry for the past few years.
What I do is a part of tutoring, people think tutoring is when you hire somebody so you can improve your grades, while that is partially correct, tutoring is really diverse, you don't just help people with their scores, its an art where you take the student through a journey where you teach them how to be an efficient and effective learner. Usually when I have a student the first thing I ask them is, "How do you learn something?", and usually everyone says they are a visual learner, and that is the true for just a few of my students. Being a visual learner and understanding something visually are two different things. I understand things visually but I learn by explaining the ideas to myself and so I will try to come up with lesson plans tailored specifically to my students needs so we can have a very productive session.

I know everyone is different and everyone has different ways of learning, I personally learn by talking to myself and explaining what I learned, others have a different approach and that's why whenever I get a new student I spend a decent amount of time talking about them and how they learn and I change my teaching method according to the needs of my student. I reinforce every lesson with real-world applications for that concept so people don't forget what we went over.
