About KIRK
I was a college professor of environmental and water resources engineering. I have taught course in hydraulics, hydrology, and environmental chemistry that involve chemistry, physics and mathematics. I have also taught how to use Microsoft Excel and computer program in VBA.
I can show students how mathematics is used in the real world to solve important problems regarding engineering and the environment.

I been teaching courses for six years involving chemistry, physics and math (algebra, geometry, trigonometry and calculus). I have tutored many students individually from my courses. I have also been tutoring students through Varsity Tutors and Wyzant. I have passed assessments by Varsity Tutors and thereby certified to tutor math up through calculus and chemistry and physics through high school. You can view my profile on Varsity Tutors. I am also currently tutoring a student taking advanced honors calculus through the Achieve Foundation of Maplewood NJ.
I also offer tutoring in environmental engineering, fluid mechanics, hydraulics, hydrology, water resources and the fundamentals of engineering (FE) exam.
I am available most weekday late afternoons, evenings and weekends.
I charge $30/hr for MS and below courses, $40 for HS courses, $50 for HS AP courses and intro-level college-level courses , and $60 for advanced college and professional-level tutoring. Every 5th lesson is free, equivalent to a 20% discount.
We can meet at a library or at your home if you within 20 miles of South Orange NJ -- or on-line, which I have done successfully with multiple students,.
