About Nils
My name is Nils Bihari-Andersson and I am a sommelier and wine educator based in Paris, France. I specialize in tailor-made wine courses and private wine tasting events that can be held in both French and English. Your level of previous wine knowledge does not matter. As long as you are curious about wine and open to try new things we can work together! My style is all about providing you with BS-free, hands-on wine knowledge that will enhance your enjoyment of any wine - be it the weekday bottle or that top-notch anniversary wine!
I originally hail from Sweden but moved to France in 2007 to pursue a passion for wine and studied wine marketing at the INSEEC school in Bordeaux ((concealed information) After having spent several years working as a sommelier, in wine retail and on the marketing side in both France and the UK, I decided that the best way to share my passion for wine was to talk about it to others! That is how A Glass and a Bottle was born. Weird name? Not really. If you think about it, thats is all you need to enjoy wine. A glass, a bottle - and hopefully some people to share the experience with!
I have an MBA in "Wine Marketing and Management" from the INSEEC Bordeaux, as well as the level 4 (Diploma) from the London-based Wine and Spirits Education Trust, the WSET. As a "WSET Certified Educator" I am also able to teach all the WSET qualifications 1-3. ((concealed information) In order to constantly improve my skills and knowledge, I embarked in September 2017 on the journey of hopefully becoming a Master of Wine, through the Institute of Masters of Wine in London, UK. A title that is currently held by only 369 people in the world. ((concealed information)
In my spare time I like to spend time with my wife and my cat, train with kettlebells and drink as many obscure wines that I can get my hands on. I also judge in one of the largest wine competitions in the world, the International Wine Challenge every year. ((concealed information)

To give you an idea, most of my tastings for individuals last 2 hours and contain between 5 and 6 wines tasted. Everything depends on your request, but personally I like to start my classes with a little theoretical part about the theme, then tasting the number of wines agreed. At the end, a time for questions is of course expected! I gladly include physical media for your guests and I often use PowerPoint support for maps, photos etc.
