About Elena
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching privately for over 10 years and I have been invited to give masterclasses in various music festivals/courses every summer. I have knowledge of several teaching techniques for children and adults and I have prepared some of my students for the ABRSM grade exams.
I have worked with artists such as Eminem, Clean Bandit, Bring Me The Horizon and Alter Bridge, and with orchestras such as the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. I've done concerts all around the globe and performed for influential people such as HRH Princess Alexandra or former PM Theresa May.
- Where and with whom did you train?
I started playing the violin with Ara Vartanian in Malaga and started my musical studies at the Professional Conservatoire in Malaga. I moved to London in 2007 where I got a place to study at The Purcell School of Music for Young Musicians with a scholarship and where I studied with Evgeny Grach (soloist of the London Symphony Orchestra) for four years. I finished my BMus degree at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2015 and my MA in Music Performance at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire in 2018 with professor Ofer Falk.

- 30, 45, 60 or 90 mins one-to-one lessons (for specific cases, sometimes I'm able to deliver lessons in small groups. Please get in touch to discuss this). These can be online or face-to-face.
- Customized learning experience - Whether you're a complete beginner or at an advanced level, I have knowledge of various teaching methods and I can help you select the best one to follow depending on your particular goals (preparing for ABRSM exams, introduction to the instrument, violin for kids, general practice or simply playing for fun!). I teach people of any age.
- Concert simulation experience (face-to-face only) - Using technology, I am able to simulate a performance atmosphere during lessons that can help some of my students practice being on a stage (or under pressure in the case of exams).
- Piano accompanist in residence (face-to-face only) - For an extra price, I can provide an accompanist to play with my students during lessons.
