About Rhys
Hello, my name is Rhys Concessao, a professional concert pianist who specialises in classical music. I have had the privilege of studying under the Eliso Virsaladze. My teaching lineage traces back to prestigious musicians such as Beethoven and Liszt. I am also currently studying at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatoire which is where some of the greatest musicians have studied such as Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff and Prokofiev. I started learning piano at age 5 and have gone on to accomplish several milestones in my professional career such as: Receiving a scholarship to study at the Purcell School for young musicians + Royal Academy of Music + the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatoire, Being named a Music Ambassador by Lang Lang - who praised my performance of La Campanella, Winning 1st Prize at the Reading Symphony Orchestra Young Musicians Competition + the EPTA UK Competition + the Evangelia Tjiarri International Piano Competition in Cyprus etc, Becoming the youngest recipient of the Global NRI of the Year Award in India, Performing in places such as the Carnegie Hall + Barbican Centre + Teatr Polski, Studying and receiving mentorship from internationally renowned pianists including Lang Lang + Dimitri Alexeev + Vladimir Ashkenazy etc. Whether you're preparing for grade exams, working on an existing piece, or aiming for an audition or performance, I can help you refine your technique, deepen your musical understanding, and bring out your musical touch.
