About Logan
I have spent eleven years helping more than 320 students pursue excellence in particle physics and the most fundamental questions about the nature of matter and energy. My academic background includes a doctoral degree in particle physics and research experience at major accelerator laboratories where I contributed to detector development and data analysis. I have taught at universities and in specialised tutoring programmes for gifted physics students. My students have entered doctoral programmes in physics won national competitions and joined research teams at major laboratories. I am known for my deep subject knowledge my research connections and my ability to communicate the excitement of frontier physics. I maintain active research collaborations and bring current developments from particle physics directly into my teaching. Outside of tutoring I participate in public lectures about particle physics follow experimental developments at CERN and enjoy mountaineering. I believe that particle physics represents the deepest inquiry into the nature of reality and I am committed to helping every student who shares that curiosity achieve their full potential.

My physics teaching is professionally oriented towards the frontiers of particle physics and accelerator science preparing students for research careers at the highest levels. I teach particle physics through the standard model quark and lepton interactions force carriers and the experimental evidence from colliders and detectors. Accelerator science is introduced through the physics of beam dynamics radiation production and the engineering of particle accelerators. I emphasise the mathematical foundations of quantum field theory symmetry principles and group theory that underpin modern particle physics. My lessons incorporate extensive use of data from experiments at CERN and other laboratories teaching students to interpret collision events particle decays and detector signatures. For exam preparation I provide comprehensive coverage of A-level and undergraduate physics with particular attention to the modern physics topics that characterise top grades. I also mentor students in physics research projects science communication and preparation for physics olympiads and university admissions tests. My teaching is intellectually demanding and research-oriented reflecting the standards of professional physics practice.
