About Hannah
I am a professional jazz singer and EFL teacher. I studied Music at the University of Birmingham and have worked as a musician since graduating. I have taught singing privately over the past three years, specialising in acting through song. Since 2015 I have sung with a jazz orchestra across the UK and Europe.

My teaching methodology is to encourage and support the student first and foremost. Technique is taught so that the student is able to gain full control over their voice and improve as a singer and as a performer. I enjoy finding repertoire that suits the student combined with more challenging songs that perhaps they would not choose themselves.
When teaching English as a foreign language, my teaching methodology again is to ensure that the student feels supported and comfortable within the lesson. Making mistakes is encouraged, as language is learned best when you have to correct yourself. I ensure a thorough education of grammar, reading, spelling and focus heavily on pronunciation and fluency.
