About Seth
Seth Almond is a versatile trombonist who has experience in many musical ensembles. These include orchestral, concert band, brass quintet, jazz band, jazz combo, brass band, and Marine Corps Band settings. He also has a studio where he teaches trombone, euphonium, and tuba players.
Seth is originally from Memphis, TN, but he grew up is the small college town of Auburn, AL. He now resides in Northern Virginia and is a Trombone Instrumentalist in the Quantico Marine Corps Band. In the band, he performs regularly in military ceremonies, as well as concert bands, brass bands, and brass quintets.
Before joining the Marine Corps, Seth studied with Dr. Matthew Wood of Auburn University. After Seth’s completion of Marine Corps Recruit Training and Marine Combat Training, he attended the Marine Detachment Naval School of Music. Here he studied with Mr. Ken Ebo. He graduated from the Naval School of Music in April 2017.
