About Karla
I am a retired Social Worker who has tutored ESL students during my academic years. I often had clients whose first language was not English, and delighted in building our mutual vocabulary to achieve their goals. I have been published in professional and public sites. Part of my training included adult oriented teaching/learning techniques, literacy development, cultural sensitivities and use of stories to advance comprehension. I am a good problem solver with great communication skills.

First I want to know what your goal is in this class, and then your learning style. I can teach with exercises, with conversation, with assigned reading and writing, using manuals that are relevant to your goals, and can connect you to additional resources you may find interesting, entertaining or useful. I expect to laugh and learn myself while we are together.
