About Garrett
Hello! I'm a full time Audio Engineer and musician in Austin, TX. I started as a musician running sound for my band and my friends' bands back in 2012 and found such a passion for it that I got a degree in Audio Engineering and Music Production! Since then I've toured all over the United States as a performer and an A1/A2 engineer until I moved to Austin in 2017. For the past 7 years I've had the pleasure of engineering hundreds of different bands at numerous venues around ATX and it's neighboring cities. Venues like Empire Control Room and Garage, Emo's, Mohawk, Parish, Maggie Mae's, The Speakeasy, Cedar Street Courtyard...just to name a few. There's a complex mix of art and science in engineering live, loud audio. Let me show you the system that the pros use for consistently great sounding shows.

I will be taking you on a guided workflow of how to engineer a live show from start to finish. This workflow is an industry standard approach developed from years of hands on experience at venues like Empire Control Room and Garage, Emo's, Mohawk, Stubbs, Maggie Mae's, and so many more. My curriculum is a step by step process broken up in to 5 comprehensive modules that just about anyone can follow (my youngest student is 9). It includes everything from Panning, Volume, EQ, and Compression to trouble shooting feedback and wrapping cables. Join me and let's all live a little louder!
