About Moses
Hello! I am a Certified Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) educator with over six years of experience providing specialized support for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), developmental delays, communication difficulties, and other learning needs. I specialize in speech and language intervention for children with autism, including non-verbal and minimally verbal children experiencing speech delay, language delay, and challenges with functional communication.
My approach combines evidence-based speech therapy strategies, child-centered teaching methods, and individualized intervention plans designed to help children develop meaningful communication skills. I have professional training in Special Education, TEFL, and specialized certification from the Clerc Center at Gallaudet University, Washington, D.C., focusing on expressive language development and effective communication support.
I understand that every child with autism is unique, which is why my lessons are carefully tailored to each child's strengths, interests, communication level, and developmental goals. Through a combination of speech, signs, gestures, visual supports, and alternative communication methods such as AAC when appropriate, I help children express their needs, build confidence, and improve their ability to connect with others.
I believe successful intervention goes beyond the therapy session, which is why I work closely with parents by providing practical strategies they can use at home to reinforce communication development in everyday situations. My goal is to help every child find their voice, overcome communication barriers, and develop the confidence and independence needed to engage meaningfully with the world around them.

Every child deserves the opportunity to communicate with confidence. My speech and language therapy sessions are designed to help children with Autism, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), speech delay, language delay, and other communication challenges develop meaningful, functional communication skills in a supportive, engaging, and child-centered environment.
These one-on-one sessions are ideal for non-verbal, minimally verbal children who need individualized support to improve speech, language, social interaction, and everyday communication. Every child learns differently, so I begin by understanding your child's current communication abilities, strengths, interests, and specific areas of need. Using this information, I develop a personalized intervention plan based on evidence-based speech therapy and language intervention techniques.
During our sessions, I will focus on:
* Developing foundational communication skills, including eye contact, joint attention, imitation, and turn-taking.
* Supporting children with speech delay and language delay through engaging, developmentally appropriate activities.
* Encouraging functional communication using spoken language, gestures, signs, visual supports, or AAC/PECS when appropriate.
* Expanding receptive language by improving understanding of instructions, vocabulary, and everyday concepts.
* Building expressive language through requesting, labeling, commenting, answering questions, and conversational practice.
* Improving speech clarity, articulation, sound production, and oral-motor awareness where appropriate.
* Strengthening social communication, play skills, and interaction with family members and peers.
* Reducing communication frustration by teaching effective ways for children to express their wants, needs, thoughts, and emotions.
My speech and language therapy approach combines structured teaching, play-based learning, visual supports, positive reinforcement, and active parent collaboration to encourage consistent progress both during and beyond our sessions. Parents receive practical strategies and home activities that can easily be integrated into everyday routines, helping children transfer newly learned communication skills into real-life situations.
Every lesson is carefully tailored because no two children with Autism or communication difficulties are the same. Whether your child is experiencing speech delay, is non-verbal, or needs additional support with language development and social communication, my goal is to provide compassionate, evidence-based support that leads to meaningful, measurable progress while building confidence and independence every step of the way.

I just want to say a big thank you to Moses for this experience. I started with zero knowledge of sign language, and I honestly didn’t think I would get this comfortable with ASL in such a short time.
He was very patient with me from the beginning, taking me through the basics step by step and making sure I understood before moving on. I never felt rushed or confused.
Now I can confidently do simple signs in American sign language, and that means a lot to me. I’m really grateful for the efforts he put into teaching me.I sought help for my child who has general learning difficulties, and the guidance I received was very thoughtful. He didn’t rush into giving solutions but took time to understand my child’s needs. The learning plan he suggested was realistic and easy to follow at home. It felt like I finally had a direction.
My daughter has been struggling with reading for a while, and we later found out she has dyslexia. The support we received was very practical and encouraging. Instead of making her feel behind, he helped her approach learning in a way that built her confidence. Myself and my husband have started seeing improvement not just in her reading, but in her attitude towards learning.
Learning ASL with him has been an enjoyable experience from the very first lesson. The way he explains the meaning behind the signs makes it easier to remember them, and the sessions feel interactive rather than rigid. I appreciate how encouraging he is, especially when you’re still trying to get the movements right.
I booked a disability support consultation and it turned out to be one of the most insightful sessions I’ve had. He took the time to understand my situation before offering advice, and the strategies he shared were thoughtful and realistic. His knowledge is impressive, but what really stands out is the empathy he shows while working with people.
We contacted him because our daughter was recently diagnosed with ADHD and we were feeling quite lost about what to do next. Instead of overwhelming us with too much information, he explained things in a very relatable way and helped us see our daughter’s strengths as well. The strategies he suggested for routines and focus have been surprisingly effective. It felt more like speaking to a guide who truly understands children rather than just a tutor.
I honestly didn’t know what to expect when I booked the session, but I’m really glad I did. My son is on the autism spectrum and social situations can be very challenging for him. What impressed me the most was how naturally he connected with my child. He didn’t rush anything and allowed my son to feel comfortable at his own pace. After a few sessions, we started noticing small but meaningful changes in how he communicates and responds to instructions. As a parent, that meant a lot to us.
I booked a consultation for ADHD support for my daughter who struggles with focus and organization in school, and the session was incredibly insightful. He didn’t just talk about the challenges; he helped us understand how ADHD affects learning and attention, and he provided simple strategies we could start applying immediately. The way he explained things was clear and reassuring, and it felt like we were finally speaking with someone who genuinely understands how children learn differently.
I signed up for his ASL tutoring sessions because I wanted to learn how to communicate better with my nephew who is deaf, and I must say the experience was far better than I expected. His teaching style is calm, structured, and very encouraging, which made learning feel natural rather than overwhelming. Within a few weeks I was already able to hold simple conversations in sign language, and my confidence improved a lot. He is very patient and explains the meaning behind each sign clearly, which really helped me understand the language rather than just memorize gestures.
Amazing individual with good mastery of his profession. I had a wonderful time with Moses during my American Sign Language (ASL) training. Would recommend him over and over again.
I had the fear of learning a language from the scratch, especially one which is very practical but when I met My Tutor, Moses, he simplified ASL to the simplest form. I can't believe I can also sign basic words in ASL and in few weeks or months time, I will be able to converse properly with the American Sign Language.
Moses is a man of experience when it comes to handling individual with Neurodivergent needs. He has been in this space for over 6 years now and at some point in time, I have seen him handle kids professionally.
I met Mr. Moses few months back on Quora and we had a brief discussions on understanding and managing Autistic children. As a parent with an autistic child, I felt so glad meeting a professional like Moses who understood the struggles.
I got on a call with him thereafter, he did necessary background checks, assessments and he started working with my 7 years old Autistic son alongside myself and my wife. 3 weeks down the line, I could evidently see a great change in the way my wife addresses situations about my son and surprisingly, she also noticed the same about me.
I now understand my son better, know how to handle him when there are triggers, and most importantly, my wife and I know how well to always create a calm and safe space for my child. I had the best time walking this journey with the Moses. My family and I are beyond grateful for the incredible support and guidance we received from Mr. Moses as our child’s tutor. Our son, who is on the autism spectrum, has always struggled with traditional teaching methods, and we were searching for someone who truly understood his unique needs. From the very first session, Mr. Moses demonstrated exceptional patience, understanding, and professionalism.
Each lesson was thoughtfully tailored to our son’s interests and learning style, making the experience not only effective but also enjoyable for him. We were amazed at how quickly Moses built a strong rapport with our child, creating a safe and encouraging environment that boosted his confidence in ways we had never seen before.
Thanks to Moses, our son has made remarkable progress—not just academically but also in his communication and social skills. He worked closely with us as parents, keeping us informed every step of the way and even providing us with strategies to support our son at home.
If you are looking for a tutor who truly cares, understands, and delivers results, I cannot recommend Mr. Moses O. highly enough. They have been a blessing to our family and a pivotal part of our child’s journey toward growth and independence.View more recommendations
