About Lauren
My name is Lauren and I am a dedicated 24-year-old Primary Education student and former teaching assistant at Highgate Junior School. After initially starting as a support assistant at the school, I explored different career paths, spending two years in the hospitality industry before rediscovering my passion for working in a school environment. As a Teaching Assistant, I worked closely with Y5 and 6 students although my tutoring students have ranged from ages 6-12.
I started privately tutoring Maths in KS1 and KS2 at 18 and continued for nearly six years. More recently, I have extended my services to children of a KS3 and GCSE level. I create a supportive and nurturing learning environment where students feel valued and encouraged to thrive. I am able to connect with students on a personal level that enables effective collaboration and learning.
With my guidance and support, students not only grasp challenging concepts but also develop the confidence and skills needed to excel academically.

With over five years of experience in private tutoring and 3 years in school settings, I offer comprehensive support to children aged 7-15 fostering their confidence and proficiency in mathematics.
I strongly believe that in order to excel in this subject, practice is key. Therefore, I integrate regular past paper practice into the lessons to allow the students to slowly familiarise themselves with an assessment situation. I also like to provide practice questions tailored to each topic covered in our lessons.
The lesson durations can either be 45 mins or 1 hr long sessions depending on your child's individual needs and attention span. The lessons are also personalised to accommodate your child's learning style, pace, and areas of improvement. I foster a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions, explore concepts, and actively participate in their learning journey.
