About Grace
Hi, I’m Grace! I’m a practising mixed-media artist with a First-Class degree in Textile Design, specialising in embroidery.
I have always loved being creative and experimenting with different materials. After graduating, I developed my own art practice and have spent the last several years creating and selling original artwork, working on private commissions and exhibiting my work.
My work combines a range of techniques including painting, textiles, embroidery, texture and clay. I particularly love mixed-media art and finding unusual ways to combine materials to create something unique.
Alongside creating my own work, I would love to share the skills I have developed and encourage others to explore their creativity. I know that art can sometimes feel intimidating, particularly when we compare our work to others or worry about getting things “right”, so I want my sessions to feel welcoming, encouraging and enjoyable.
I bring several years of professional creative experience and a genuine enthusiasm for helping others discover what they enjoy making. Whether you already love art or are a complete beginner, my aim is to help you experiment, learn new skills and feel more confident in your own creativity.

My lessons are relaxed, creative and tailored to each individual. I want students to feel comfortable experimenting, trying new techniques and developing confidence in their own creativity, without feeling pressure to make something “perfect”.
Sessions can be adapted around the student’s age, interests and what they would like to explore. Depending on the individual, we can work with painting, mixed media, textiles, embroidery, texture and 3D techniques, as well as looking at how to take an idea or inspiration and develop it into a finished piece of artwork.
A typical lesson is around one hour and can include demonstrations, learning new techniques and plenty of hands-on creative time. Rather than teaching one “right” way to create art, I encourage experimentation and help students discover the materials, techniques and styles they enjoy.
My lessons are suitable for children and young people aged 8+, as well as adults and complete beginners. No previous art experience is needed – just an interest in being creative!
