About Dionysis
I remember from when I was an undergrad, that the Lecturer/Teaching Assistant played a major role in me being interested or not in that module. Teaching is not just about standing in front of a theatre, or a computer during the COVID era, and “robotically” reading the slides. It is about finding a way to engage with your audience and convey to them the information in the most appropriate way based on their characteristics (background, level etc.)
As a teaching Assistant, I always tried to deliver the material in the way that I would have wanted my lecturers to do it for me, in an easily understandable and joyful manner. Through the feedback of some evaluation forms, I was more than pleased to see that the students were also enjoying their time with me.

The lessons would include sessions to better understand theory taught in lectures with real-life examples to put theory into context. If practical exercises are assign to students (math, circuit theory, robot kinematics etc), we would go over the solutions together.
Help university students develop academic writing skill, structuring assignments, performing proper literature review and provide feedback on their work.
Interactive quizzes and hands on projects are also an option depending on students motivation and desire to learn. Software: MATLAB/Arduino IDE.
I graduated with a first class in MEng Mechatronic engineering and I have three years of teaching experience at King's College London.
