About Ravi Sumanth
Hello All,
My name is Ravi Sumanth Palakodeti. I am currently pursuing my PG degree in Canada.
I have over 12 years of work experience in Software industry with over 8 years in USA as a SQL Server Developer /Data warehouse developer/Reporting Services Lead.
In 2019 I returned home to India, where I started working as a freelance database developer, Online tutor and an assistant professor of a business school in Anurag University in India. I taught DBMS, RDBMS, Business Intelligence, Datawarehouse , SQL programming, C,C++ etc. I was also acting as a project lead and Project Guide for computer science students, who were working on their graduate level projects. As a guide, I taught them Python, SQL, C and C++ to help them in their projects.
As a Project lead in USA, I trained my team members in SQL and Business Intelligence many of whom were from non-coding background. Now most of them have started their careers in database world as developers, analysts, testers and administrators.
So, teaching is already part of who I am and will be for the rest of my life.
My classes will usually have a very detailed PPT slides, references and most importantly practical demonstration over Zoom. Heavy emphasis will be on practical learning over theoretical. In every class or session, there will always be coding session to understand the concepts.

Even if you are new to the Database and SQL world, my course and teaching will be very beneficial as I start with fundamentals before progressing to the advanced classes. Without proper foundations, the topic or language in general can never be fully understood and so never fully retained.
My teaching style includes
1. Proper study material and notes and all the references to the topics will be provided.
2. adequate examples to practice coding shall be provided.
3. Industry related scenarios and problems will be explained with solutions using industry standards in Microsoft T SQL, SSIS and SSRS Business Intelligence studio.
4. A typical lesson plan will be a Zoom session with live demonstration of Microsoft SQL Server with TSQL language and Business Intelligence Studio tools Such as SSIS and SSRS. Usually each class will have 40% theory and 60% practical application.
5. I have experience teaching all kinds of people including working professionals from non-coding backgrounds in USA, my team members who were new to SQL world in USA, and Business school graduates in a University in India, who are planning to become data scientists/data analysts/business analysts etc.
6. I am also currently pursuing my PG course in Business Analytics and Data Sciences. So it will also be beneficial to you if I can share my knowledge in the Analytics field.
7.I will be also providing some basic understanding of computer programming for those from the non-coding background.
