About Kayla
I am a full-time student who prioritizes education of any sort - whether it is gaining experience or learning from an academic institution. I take a particular interest in social work and have an inherent desire to change the world for the better. I try to use any platform I have to make a difference in the world. I graduated from Helpmekaar Kollege with 7 A's. I attained the B1 DELF exam at L'Alliance Française. I graduated my undergraduate degree with distinction (80.40%). My home languages are English and Afrikaans and my second additional language is French. I am currently studying for a Post-Graduate Degree in Psychology, at the University of Pretoria. I am academically proficient I worked with Digitutors (for about 3 years) to tutor Mathematics and Afrikaans. Also marked Business studies papers, enhancing the organization's feedback system. Improved verbal and written communication efficiency, adaptability, management, empathy, and teamwork, and so became a featured tutor in Digitutor's 2022 newsletter. Because Digitutors is an online tutoring business, mastering several online tutoring systems such as Zoom, ClanEd, Blackboard, and Microsoft 360 has been crucial to the position. I have experience working as an administrative assistant at Sandton Medi-Clinic for a doctor- for a few months. I play the guitar and have played for 6 years - I also have some knowledge about singing as I was one of the top members of our school choir. In 2016 I was a part of a band - playing the guitar - and we received an ATKV gold diploma. I worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Pretoria in 2023. As a Teaching Assistant (TA) in the University of Pretoria’s Department of Psychology, I've had the opportunity to interact with and support both Psychology lecturers and students. My responsibilities have ranged from managing e-mails from lecturers and students to supporting them with any concerns they may have. Other responsibilities include organizing, packing, transporting, filing, and alphabetizing exams and records. Ultimately, make the process as simple as possible. Additional skills include using Microsoft Office 365 to create documents related to the position.

I graduated from Helpmekaar Kollege in 2020 with an A average in Business Studies. I do adore this subject as I am very good at it and find it quite necessary in terms of going into the working world. My goal is to help the student navigate the wide world of business and adjust my teaching style to fit their needs - whether it is visual, auditory, or via typical note-taking.
