About Eva
My name is Eva, I have a BA Hons degree in Politics from Exeter and I am also currently studying for a Masters in Political Thought. Though I love academic learning and expanding my knowledge in my specific areas of interest, I am also a keen cricketer and enjoy representing and training with my university team. My love for sport also translates into my passion for coaching as on the weekends I coach my local under-13 girls team. I love learning new skills but I also love teaching those skills to other people and instilling in them a passion and enthusiasm for them.

My personal approach to tutoring centres around confidence. I personally was not a quick learner and often found it difficult to fully grasp new topics to the same extent as the rest of my classmates. I find that English and literacy in particular have tendency to become very overwhelming for students. There is a seemingly endless list of techniques and devices that we need to use, and trying to apply them all to a piece of work can make the subject as a whole really uninviting.
That’s why for me, breaking down subjects and problems is essential. The seemingly small achievements that students make in their learning journey are what make them grow in confidence, and what ultimately makes them realise what they are capable of.
