About Jaime

I hold a master's degree and a bachelor's in political science from the National University of Colombia, and I'm a licensed life insurance advisor in Ontario. I taught financial literacy and social studies for more than five years in Bogotá's public schools, to more than 500 students a year, and was an assistant professor at the National University of Colombia. I'm also the author of two academic books (Toronto Academic Press, 2025).

About the class

Economics is easier when you connect it to decisions you actually make. I explain each concept with a real example first, then the theory, then the exercises your course asks for.

What I cover:
- High school economics and financial literacy courses in Ontario
- University introductory microeconomics and macroeconomics
- Personal finance for adults: budgeting, debt, saving, how insurance and registered accounts work in Canada

I don't sell products in these lessons. This is teaching, not advice.

Format: 60-minute lessons, online or in person in Mississauga.

The first 30 minutes are free: a diagnostic of your level and goals, and a personalized learning plan. Every lesson after that is paid.
