About Ted
I was first introduced to Pilates when, sustaining multiple injuries following an intensive apprenticeship in Ballroom and Latin dance, I was advised to try Pilates by a renowned London physiotherapist. This physio explained that Pilates was a holistic approach to healing the body. By targeting the body as a whole (especially the much-neglected core) the body is able to develop complete strength, balance and control.
I decided to follow this advice and set the habit. I started Pilates training every morning for 15 minutes. I maintained this daily habit for two months and by the end of the experiment I was astounded at how strong I felt both physically and mentally. My debilitating injuries had vanished, and I was back to dancing competitively without any further injury!
