About Gavin
My initial degree was in physiotherapy and I worked for 7 years as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist in both a hospital and a private setting. I then went back to university and studied musculoskeletal ageing as a post grad diploma.
As a physiotherapist in the U.K. there is an expectation that you teach student physiotherapists on their placements. I always enjoyed this aspect of the job as I truly empathised with the students having been in their shoes just a few short years ago and knowing how scary anatomy and physiology can be to learn. This is why I want to teach, I get a lot of satisfaction from finding ways to help students thrive in a challenging but rewarding field of study.

I don’t believe in a one size fits all approach to teaching because we simply do not learn that way! Everyone learns in different ways and at a different pace and this is why I believe 1-1 tutoring is so effective. All my attention and planning of lessons goes to you and you alone. We will focus on what you find difficult and I will find a way of explaining it that you can relate to. Learning is fluid and flexible and as such so are my sessions.
