About Alex
My name is Alex and I am a recent graduate of the University of Chicago with a degree in Physics and minor in Statistics. As someone who had always struggled with maths in primary school, I strongly believe that the patient instruction targeted to my needs I received in secondary school was the key that allowed me to turn around my success in the subject. I went on to achieve an 'A*' at GCSE level as well as 'A's in both Mathematics and Further Mathematics at A-level, and was able to succeed in maths-heavy subjects at the undergraduate level. This drastic improvement in my own maths performance is why I am keen to tutor using methods that I know significantly contributed to it.

I have learnt first-hand the importance of engaging and supportive teaching in mathematics success. I bring this methodology of patient support to my teaching of maths to students at all levels up to GCSE.
