About Patrick
After receiving a 5 on my AP Physics 1 exam and recognizing my talent for logical and mathematical thinking, I volunteered to lead one-on-one and group tutoring sessions for the AP Physics 1 class at my high school, where I developed a love for simplifying concepts and getting my students to that "gotcha" moment. Additionally, I also teach AP Calculus AB/BC, as well as other mathematics such as precalculus and trigonometry.

I use a comprehensive approach to teach physics, calculus, precalculus, trigonometry, and of course basic mathematics like algebra and geometry. My teaching method emphasizes understanding concepts as a whole, rather than just memorizing formulas and steps, so that my students are able to tackle problems from any angle and think creatively.

Yukan has been a kind, patient, and responsible tutor. My child has had a positive experience with his tutoring so far. He explains math clearly and takes time to help the student understand the ideas step by step, instead of just giving answers. I also appreciate that he communicates well and is reliable with the lessons. I would recommend him to families who are looking for help with math or physics.
I can’t recommend Patrick enough as a private 1-on-1 math tutor. Trigonometry was something I really struggled with, and for the first time, it actually made sense after working with him. Patrick is incredibly patient and explains concepts in a way that feels clear and approachable, without ever making you feel rushed or intimidated. He has a great way of breaking things down and meeting you exactly where you are. Thanks to him, I feel much more confident in math and no longer feel overwhelmed by trig. He truly cares about helping his students understand, not just get through the homework.
