About Venkata Rao
I am Venkata, I have a PhD in Physics from University of Arkansas. I have taught undergraduate students both Pre-meds and engineering track undergraduates for 10+ years. I have taught laboratory class, led recitations and sat down one-on-one with students to help them solve problems. My PhD training involved teaching and mentoring junior lab members. Apart from direct classroom teaching and mentorship, I have taught classes online via Zoom/Blackboard for a year during the Covid lockdown.

I teach concepts through problem solving. I will teach them how to critically think and model a complex system into toy models. Make them justify the approximation & assumptions. And then teach how to pick right mathematical methods to use to solve the problem. This helps the student see the big picture first. Then gives them the taste of how real science is done by making them model a real world system and write down equations. When i teach them to solve it and obtain solution. The fear of the unknown is gone. Now they will be prepared to look at any obscure problem/system and understand its dynamics.
