About Fernando
I am a Brazilian physicist with masters degree in nonlinear optics. I have been teaching physics for six months in a social project for high school students in Brazil. During this period, I was able to teach students with different backgrounds where I had to adapt lessons to attend students' needs, as most of them showed high difficulty to understand the mathematics behind physics. Also, before being a teacher in this project, I was a tutor. Thus, I was in close contact with few students, which gave me experience to comprehend most of their questions and choose better examples to clarify them.

I try to adapt different topics to students' needs. I usually try to perform some experiments whenever possible. Otherwise, I create an imaginary experiment and I try to make the student understand it, focusing on the most important consequences of the concepts being studied. Also, I generally attempt to translate mathematical concepts, making it easier to apply them in physics' exercises. Particularly, when I am teaching to more then three students, I usually prefer to ask fundamental questions and analize their answers, and if I feel they are not able to understand a specific topic, I guide their discussion on the subject untill all of them converge their thoughts to the same conclusion.
