About Melanie
I am currently a university student who is studying Physical Geography and I am wanting to pursue my career as a teacher and I am wanting to gain as much relevant work experience and knowledge as I can. I want to be able to help students achieve the grades they deserve and help students out who may feel like they are struggling in this subject area. I want a student to feel confident in their lessons and have a wide range of knowledge they can apply to their work and in their life.

would like to understand the different subject areas students have been struggling with or less confident with to guide future sessions. In addition, I would expand further knowledge on areas they understand and show connections between the topics. I would also be discussing questions and task to aid the students knowledge even further. A typical lesson would be around 45 minutes, so the first 10 minutes would be a catch-up and overview of questions and tasks for the lesson. The next 30 minutes is the right length of time where the child's brain is stimulated for learning. The last 5 minutes would discuss how they felt the lesson went and areas they can focus on for themselves at home. I have an A-Level in Geography, Maths and Art and currently studying for my Physical Geography degree. I also start my teaching training in September 2023 to become a Secondary School teacher. I also have had several experiences carrying out work experience in schools. My lessons would be aimed at children ages 11-16 who are aiming towards their GCSE's.
