About Ademayowa

I am Ademayowa Ogundeji, a private tutor who has dedicated over a decade to shaping young minds and helping hundreds of students ace entrance exams into their preferred schools within and outside Nigeria.

I earned my bachelor's and master's degrees in Philosophy from the University of Lagos, where I am currently enrolled for my PhD. I am passionate about imparting knowledge and helping learners to excel academically. My vast knowledge, ability to simplify the most complex topics and make learning fun set me apart.

I start by knowing the scope of knowledge of my student, identify areas of strengths and weaknesses and create confidence in the child regarding his/her ability to comprehend what is to be taught. I demand absolute attention and I'm able to detect easily when concentration is not at the best level. I create a sense of self-discipline and responsibility, putting as much importance on academic and moral excellence. I strongly believe that when the right mix of discipline, humor and mentoring is applied, every child is capable of learning and knowing the subject matter. Making the child perceive learning as fun rather than 'punishment' is what I do. My communication skills, enlightened sense of humor and sociability make me the favorite of my students, and they are always looking forward to the next class.

About the class

I guide primary school pupils to develop strong aptitude for core subjects like Basic Math, Literacy (English Language), Basic Science as well as Verbal, Quantitative and Non-Verbal Reasoning. While I teach Math to learners from Lower Primary to Year 9, I teach English Language, Literature, History and Government to secondary and post-secondary learners, including adults.

The lesson is tailored to the unique needs of each learner with a special focus on the weakness of the student, the school curriculum and the exam requirements. I adopt a blend of demonstration and active learning approaches. This helps to capture and retain the interest of learners, who also cultivate problem-solving skills in the process. I use a wide range of resources and techniques to achieve the best outcome, including digital texts, videos, virtual boards, mobile apps and automated online assessments.
