The understanding of different concepts individually and how they work with each other is what the eventual goal of understanding is. In my approach, theory and numerical problems are places at equal footing and complementing each other.
I keep track of the order in which difficult topics should be taught to make seemingly easy to understand.
I have been in the field of academics which gives me advantage of being a teacher and a student at the same time, thus making me polite and patient.
For online class, I use my ipad for teaching, the notes can be sent to you at the same time and they are more about different diagrams and colors understanding the situation rather than just rephrasing the book chapters.
The classes are not 'me speaking and you listening', but they are 'us talking'.
