About Meeghan
As a college professor for over 8 years, I have experience with all types of learners and truly want to help students enjoy learning. My teaching philosophy is founded on the principle of taking a complex idea and breaking it down into many small but achievable steps. Once students understand the principles of a subject, they can then be encouraged to use their analytical skills to consider how the theory could be applied in the real world. I believe that technology can provide a major contribution to student learning, particularly when it is used to prepare students for graduate employment.

My lessons will include visual and audible explanations of topics so that all learners are able to understand the material. My lessons are for college students and high school students preparing for college.
My goal as a teacher is to keep the students interested in what they are learning. I do this by making assignments and projects relevant to current affairs. I have assigned group projects where the students were asked to act as a group of consultants and their main task was to help their clients make equity investment decisions. Group projects such as this, not only tests their knowledge of the material but also has the students focus on what is currently happening in the market. As a teacher it is of great importance to me to prepare my students for real life workforce scenarios. If a student feels prepared and confident in what they have learned they will perform better and achieve more in their future careers.
