About Juliano
Coming from a family of artists, I entered the world of the guitar 20 years ago. I studied Choro, Popular-Classical Guitar for two and a half years with Professor Vinicius Correa, and more recently with the mandolinist Geraldo Vargas, at his school and choro jam sessions. I took singing lessons with Adriana Deffenti and Cristiano Hanssen. I taught music workshops for groups of children, teenagers, and adults in various communities and cultural spaces, traveling through seven Brazilian states for a year and a half with the Caravan for Peace, an NGO in partnership with the Ministry of Culture in the Cultura Viva program. Of binational origin, like the Iguazu Falls (Brazil and Argentina), I have always been enchanted by Brazilian and Latin American music, becoming increasingly involved with the popular music of the continent. I started composing in 2006, when I began to feel the need to express ideas and feelings that were not manifested in the music that reached me. I have a degree in Sound Design, in which I create soundtracks, ambient sounds, and special sound effects for any media, theater, or music. Currently, I am pursuing a degree in Music Production. In addition to being born into a fine arts studio with parents who encouraged the arts, I studied recorder as a child and have had and interacted with different instruments such as charango, didgeridoo, and percussion. I have undertaken various complementary studies in workshops, with jazz and pandeiro teachers, and also through self-study in music theory.

I believe that studying, besides dedication, should be satisfying and enjoyable! I like to work with the concept of "learning while having fun" and making music, balancing exercises and songs to assimilate and put into practice what is being developed together with the student, and having the pleasure of already making music, which releases endorphins and makes everything more meaningful. Of course, adjusting according to the student's needs, desires, and pace. Studies include fingering and right-hand exercises, different strumming patterns. Musical perception, rhythmic figures, tempo, notes, studies of different scales, chords, sheet music with key signatures and accidentals, circle of fifths, tonics and dominants, etc. Regarding musical and group perception, we can also address how to understand the key of the music and adjust it to your voice. Harmonics, timbres, silences, concepts and notions for playing and sharing music with others. If you compose or want to compose, I offer creative and technical guidance, where we can work on and align the harmony and poetry/lyrics. We are all musical beings, come and give free rein to your expression!
