About Jessica

I didn’t start as a 170+ LSAT scorer. I started at 146. Just a few months later, I earned a perfect 180 on the official LSAT.

That 34-point improvement is the reason I approach LSAT tutoring differently.

I know what it’s like to feel completely lost when approaching a Logical Reasoning question, to struggle between two seemingly correct answers, and to wonder whether a competitive score is even possible. I’ve experienced the frustration of putting in hours of studying without seeing the results I wanted—and the breakthrough that comes from finally understanding how to approach the test.

My journey taught me something important: You don’t have to be naturally brilliant at the LSAT to become exceptionally good at it. What matters is learning how to think through the questions, recognize your mistakes, and practice with purpose.

I bring that perspective to every student I work with. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all tutoring, and I don’t assume that what worked for me will automatically work for everyone. Instead, I focus on understanding each student’s starting point, challenges, and goals.

Whether you’re starting in the 140s, trying to break through the 150s or 160s, or working toward a 170+, I want you to feel that you’re learning from someone who genuinely understands the process of improving—not just someone who happened to score well.

My biggest qualification isn’t simply that I scored 180. It’s that I know what it took to get there from 146.

If you’re serious about improving your LSAT score and want a tutor who understands both the struggle and the strategy behind meaningful progress, I’d love to work with you.

I went from a 146 to a perfect 180 on the official LSAT in just a few months. And I didn’t get there by studying endlessly, memorizing tricks, or being naturally gifted at standardized tests. I got there by fundamentally changing how I approached the exam.

I remember what it felt like to stare at a Logical Reasoning question, narrow it down to two answers, and consistently choose the wrong one. I know the frustration of reviewing an explanation that makes perfect sense afterward, only to make the same mistake on the next practice test.

What changed my performance wasn’t simply doing more questions. It was learning to recognize exactly where my reasoning went wrong, understanding how the LSAT constructs tempting incorrect answers, and developing a systematic approach I could rely on even under time pressure.

That’s the approach I bring to my lessons.

What Makes My Lessons Different?

1. We don’t just review wrong answers. We figure out why you chose them.

Most students can understand an explanation after seeing the correct answer. The real challenge is recognizing the correct reasoning independently, when the clock is running and two answers seem equally convincing.

I’ll help you identify the specific thinking patterns behind your mistakes so you can recognize and correct them on future questions.

2. I teach you how to think through the LSAT, not memorize your way through it.

Instead of relying on shortcuts that only work for certain questions, we’ll develop a repeatable process for breaking down arguments, recognizing assumptions, evaluating evidence, and eliminating attractive but logically flawed answers.

The goal isn’t to become dependent on a tutor. It’s to develop the ability to solve difficult questions confidently on your own.

3. Every session targets what is actually keeping you from your goal score.

A student scoring 145 doesn’t need the same instruction as someone stuck at 165. And two students with identical scores may be struggling for completely different reasons.

We’ll use your practice-test performance, question-level mistakes, and reasoning patterns to identify where your time and effort will make the biggest difference.

4. We focus on turning understanding into points under timed conditions.

Knowing how to solve a question during an untimed review is one thing. Recognizing the right approach during a timed section is another.

We’ll work on accuracy, pacing, decision-making, and knowing when to move on, so your preparation translates into stronger test-day performance.

What You Can Expect

Whether you’re taking your first diagnostic, struggling to break through the 150s or 160s, or aiming for a 170+, we’ll build a preparation strategy around your specific needs.

Our sessions can include:

* Logical Reasoning: Argument structure, necessary and sufficient assumptions, conditional logic, causal reasoning, flaws, and difficult answer-choice distinctions.
* Reading Comprehension: Understanding dense passages, tracking viewpoints, identifying structural relationships, and avoiding unsupported inferences.
* Targeted Error Analysis: Identifying recurring mistakes and developing concrete strategies to prevent them.
* Timed Practice: Improving efficiency without sacrificing accuracy.
* Personalized Study Planning: Knowing exactly what to prioritize between sessions instead of wasting hours on unfocused practice.

Why Learn With Me?

Because I’ve experienced both ends of the LSAT scoring spectrum.

I know what it’s like to start at 146, feel overwhelmed by the exam, and wonder whether a high score is even realistic. I also know what it takes to reach 180.

That journey shaped the way I approach LSAT preparation: not as a collection of tricks to memorize, but as a set of reasoning skills that can be developed through deliberate, focused practice.

I won’t promise you a particular score. What I will offer is an individualized, rigorous approach designed to help you understand your mistakes, make your study time count, and move toward your goal with a clear plan.

You don’t need to start with a high score to aim for one. I started at 146. I finished at 180. Let’s find out how far you can go.
