About Paulinho
I have been a private percussion teacher for 10 years. I believe that the transformative power of music can reach all areas of society, and I leave a legacy of education, social transformation, and promotion of Brazilian percussion culture. Since 1997, Paulinho Pires (stage name) has been active as a percussionist in the São Paulo music scene. For 13 years he has been the drum master for carnival groups in the city of São Paulo and has participated four times in the Anhembi Sambadrome as a percussionist for samba schools in the special group. Currently, he is a percussionist for the União Imperial de Santos/SP samba school's drum section and drum master for the Bloco da Cantareira (São Paulo/SP). He is the creator and instructor of the Coletivo Percussão (Percussion Collective).

Lessons are based on a repertoire defined together with the student, focusing on teaching instrument techniques, stimulating musical listening, practice, and music theory according to the context of each musical style chosen by the student. The instructor has over 25 years of experience with percussion instruments, playing in carnival groups, bands of various rhythms and styles, and samba schools. Lessons last 1 hour and are offered in two formats: (1) Online via Google Meet (for people anywhere in the world) | (2) In-person for residents of Santos/SP. Personalized weekly support is provided via WhatsApp, with the sending of exercise videos and supporting materials in PDF format.

Depois de muito procurar professores, encontrei o Paulinho! Na aula experimental a conexão foi instantânea e na semana seguinte já iniciei as aulas de percussão (pandeiro, cajon e triângulo). We work with monthly fees. Online classes (R$350) and in-person classes (R$400). Payment of the first monthly fee is due via PIX on the first day of classes. The same day of the month is maintained for payment of the monthly fees for subsequent months.
