About Danielle
Hi there, my name is Danielle and I graduated with First Class Honours in Psychology in Education from the University of York. I have 1 year’s experience tutoring Maths online to KS3 students as part of the National Tutoring Programme via a platform that connected me directly to students in schools.
A key component of my degree and dissertation was Statistical Research Methods which relied on a working understanding of various mathematical concepts and formulas - an area that I excelled in!
My background in studying how psychology and education intertwine and how children learn, helps me to appreciate the perspective of the students themselves and shapes my approach. I appreciate that Maths is not everyone's strong suit, nor their interest - that's where I can help!

Online Maths lessons for Key Stage 2, 3, and GCSE students. Lessons will typically be up to an hour.
My patience allows students the time and space they need to work something out at their own pace. There's also no such thing as silly questions in my lessons - ask away!
In the first lesson, I will have a discussion with the student about which topics/areas they find particularly difficult and need help with, and/or will have them go through some questions on various topics at their own pace so I can gain a better understanding of their current working level.
Then our lessons will focus on the areas they particularly struggle with. We will continue working on a topic until both me and the student are confident that they are confident in it! We will go through online worksheets and activities, practice questions, and past papers.
