Hello! My name is Melissa, and I am a dedicated Special Education Teacher with experience supporting students with diverse learning needs and academic abilities. As an educator, I understand that every student learns differently. My approach is patient, individualized, and focused on creating lessons that meet each student's unique needs. As a tutor, I believe that every student can succeed when instruction is tailored to their individual learning style, strengths, and needs. My teaching methods include direct instruction, guided practice, hands-on activities, visual supports, and real-world examples to make learning meaningful and accessible. A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previously learned material, followed by the introduction of a new concept or skill. I then model the skill, provide guided practice, and gradually release responsibility to the student through independent practice. Lessons conclude with a review of key concepts, opportunities for questions, and a discussion of strategies for continued learning.
