About the class

I am a passionate Sociologist and Citizenship teacher with the ability to teach RE, History and politics. I am an extremely conscientious person who is keen to succeed at any given task. I can quickly adapt to new situations and environments. I am able to effectively work as part of a team and independently.
I have high expectations for all learners, with regards to their behaviour and their attitude towards work. I am an advocate of independent learning as this helps to develop key citizenship skills and processes, such as, enquiry and critical thinking.
My teaching skills, subject knowledge, professional attitude, organisational skills and wide-ranging previous experiences show that I am an excellent practitioner but wish to work in a school where I can develop into an outstanding practitioner.

I have been teaching for 4 years I am currently teaching GCSE sociology, Citizenship and re.
I have a degree in sociology with politics graded at a 2:1
I am familiar with both the OCR and Eduqas sociology specification (both old and new), i am also familiar with the new Edexcel Citizenship specification.
