Passionate and patient online maths and English tutor with 26 years of experience. Teaching up to GCSE level from primary, specialising in SEN.

I knew Tammy as a friend of a friend, and when my daughter needed maths and English tuition, she was the first person I thought of. Trustworthy, encouraging, and enthusiastic, which is definitely a must for teenagers!

Thank you, Tammy, for all your hard work!

I had tammy to help me through gsce maths and she was a wonderful tutor who really helped me with my confidence a lot, she made maths easier for me and made me feel supported I would 100% recommend tammy she is amazing !

Tammy has been tutoring my son weekly from Year 8 right up until today, the day before his final English GCSE. It initially took a lot of persuasion for him to have a tutor, but we were incredibly fortunate to find Tammy. Right from the first session, she made my son feel at ease and relevant to him. She took the time to really get to know him so she could tailor the lessons to keep him engaged. It was lovely to hear how comfortable he felt communicating with her, and he actually started to enjoy English. He could see the passion and enthusiasm she has for the subject, and this was infectious. He looked forward to his weekly lessons, and his confidence grew as he could see the improvements he was making in school. She made the lessons informative and fun and built up a brilliant rapport with him. Her feedback to me each week was really detailed and useful. My son has gone into his English exams feeling positive and confident he will get a good grade. This is amazing considering where we were at the start of Year 7. We feel incredibly fortunate to have found her.

She's really helped me improve my grades in maths and English, and I've been able to learn and improve on a lot of different topics! Her teaching is really easy to follow and is well-structured.

I cannot recommend Tammy  highly enough. She has been an exceptional tutor for my son, Adam, throughout his English studies.

From the very beginning, she built a fantastic rapport with Adam, creating a supportive and encouraging environment that helped him grow in both confidence and ability. Her knowledge of the subject is outstanding, but what has impressed me most is her ability to challenge students while remaining patient, kind, and genuinely invested in their success.

Adam has always enjoyed English, but thanks to her guidance, constructive feedback, and high expectations, his progress has been remarkable. She consistently recognised his strengths while helping him refine and develop his skills further. Her communication has always been excellent, and she has been incredibly reliable, professional, and dedicated throughout.

As a parent, it has been wonderful to see not only Adam's academic development but also the positive relationship they built over the course of their sessions. She has been a huge part of his success, and we are extremely grateful for all the time, effort, and care she has invested in him.

I would wholeheartedly recommend her to any parent looking for a knowledgeable, supportive, and inspiring English tutor.
