About Kate
I'm Kate a current 2nd-year biomedical sciences student at the University of Oxford. I'm passionate about science and helping students achieve their full potential. Previously I've tutored GCSE maths and provided advice sessions for potential Oxbridge science applicants. At GCSE I achieved all 9/8s and got all 9s in my science subjects, while most students in my classes got 6/5s. At A-level, I studied Biology, Chemistry and Maths and also achieved all A/A*s.
My teaching style focuses on using exam practice as a way of learning and truly understanding the content of subjects, as this was how I achieved the highest grades at GCSE and A-level. I am also dyslexic, my own experience of having a learning difficulty will allow me to adapt my tutoring style to your specific needs.

As an Oxford student, I can apply the teaching method used at Oxford to my tutoring lessons, this allows me to gain a deep understanding of your subjects. In addition to this, I will focus heavily on exam technique as working through past paper questions was how I was able to achieve all A/A*s at A-level/ GCSE in school where this was very much not the norm. Furthermore, I've learned how to do well academically despite being dyslexic, I feel this makes me a more well-rounded tutor, able to adapt my teaching style to the needs of my students.
