About Erna
I am a professional financial consultant, recently graduated from Oxford with an MBA degree in Finance and currently working as a consultant as part of the Finance&Valuation and Data Science teams. Prior to attending the MBA studies I was working as an Investment Associate in a commercial real estate private equity fund.
I have a significant set of practical real world examples and materials that I intend to use in our sessions. This will enable you to better understand the implications of theoretical financial knowledge and data driven applications in a
more practical context.
I will be available for lessons on the following subjects: Corporate Finance, Valuations, Private Equity and Venture Capital Valuations and Models, Statistics, Financial Statement Analysis, Accounting, Project Finance, Asset management, Excel Modelling, Machine Learning applications in Finance.
My teaching methodology is structured as follows:
1) Explain conceptually the underlying theory foundations of the topic in question
2) Discuss on the application of the theory using intuitive examples and exercises
3) Use real world examples to understand the implications of the underlying assumptions of the theory
4) Use intuitive and practical examples (broadly form my experience) to interactively explore the application of the covered topic in the real world.
5) Use tools such as Excel-VBA modelling and R/Python coding where applicable
