About Michael
I graduated in Law from The University of Cambridge in 2022, but I have been tutoring since 2018. I started facilitating my specialist Oxford and Cambridge programme in 2021, starting with some schools in the South of England, before opening it to private students. I was trained in Oxbridge admissions by the Admissions Team at the University of Cambridge. I have an intellectual interest in the academic side of law. Outside of the programme, I specialise in Family Law, appearing in courts regularly. I like to blend both my academic and practical experience to support students in reaching Oxford/Cambridge universities.

Each lesson is part of a broader scheme spread across the time you have set aside for Oxford and Cambridge admissions preparation. I will build a plan which adapts over time as I expose you to debates and discussions within legal academia, as well as begin interview preparation early with the necessary skills. Starting preparation early is key to success in Oxford and Cambridge admissions - interviews should not be left until November! Every lesson is tailored to you; I do not use standard form PowerPoints, nor do I rehearse scripts. We maintain a line of communication via Email and/or WhatsApp with work marked in between sessions. I also help you to secure the predicted grades you need, even having made representations to schools and/or attended meetings with schools supporting parents when predicted grades have not met standards. Think of the programme not just as a series of one-off lessons, but a programme put together for the end goal of an Oxford and/or Cambridge offer.
The programme includes LNAT tutoring, articles for reading, personal statement support (UCAS), supplementary application support (MyCam), interview workshops/mocks, and support in applying to outreach programmes, summer schools and essay competitions. If within my area of expertise, I also assist with school studies to ensure the predicted grades required are achieved.
