About Siva
I have always had a strong interest in mathematics and performed well in the subject during my academic years. I genuinely enjoy solving problems and breaking down complex concepts into simpler steps. My goal as a tutor is to help students understand the “why” behind the formulas rather than just memorizing methods.
Although I am beginning my tutoring journey, I am committed to being well-prepared, patient, and structured in every session. I take responsibility for ensuring that students feel supported, comfortable asking questions, and confident in their progress. I believe consistency, clarity, and practice are key to improvement.
As someone based in Toronto, I understand the local school curriculum expectations and aim to align lessons with what students are learning in class. My focus is on helping students strengthen their fundamentals and develop long-term confidence in math.

I focus on helping students build strong fundamentals in math through clear, step-by-step explanations. My approach is simple: understand the concept first, then practice with structured problems until the student feels confident solving them independently. I believe many students struggle not because math is difficult, but because the basics were not fully understood.
A typical lesson starts with reviewing previous material, identifying areas of confusion, explaining concepts using simple examples, and then practicing progressively challenging problems. I encourage students to ask questions freely and work through problems themselves rather than just watching solutions.
My lessons are best suited for Grades 6–9 students who want to strengthen their understanding, improve confidence, and perform better in school assessments. I aim to create a supportive and patient learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them.
