About Jennifer
Hello! My name is Jennifer. I am a qualified primary school teacher and currently work as a SEN Teaching Assistant. I have over 15 years’ experience supporting learners of all ages, from Reception to Year 6, and I am passionate about helping people build confidence in English. Before teaching, I worked as a police officer, which helped me develop patience, clear communication skills, and the ability to put people at ease. I also have experience teaching English to adults in China, which is where my passion for teaching began. I am a parent to a 5-year-old and a 14-year-old, so I understand the importance of making learning relaxed, engaging, and practical. My goal as a tutor is to help learners of all levels feel comfortable using English, improve their speaking skills, and gain confidence in a friendly, supportive environment. I love seeing learners grow in confidence, and I tailor every lesson to suit each individual’s needs and pace. I also previously taught English to adults in China, which is where my passion for teaching began. Typical lessons are 60 minutes, but we can adjust based on your needs. I specialise in helping learners who feel nervous, want to improve conversational skills, or need practical English for work, travel, or daily life.
