About Andrew
I am a recent graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and I previously studied at the Royal College of Music in London and Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester. I have performed around the country in prestigious venues such as the Royal Festival Hall and the Cadogan Hall in London and Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall. I also recently made appearances with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra at The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester and Hanley’s Victoria Hall in a concert that was broadcast on BBC Radio 3. My recent achievements include reaching the final of the Royal Northern College of Music’s Sir John Barbirolli Prize for Cello, my 2017 performance of Elgar’s Cello Concerto with the Wymondham Symphony Orchestra and being featured in the Norfolk County Music Festival’s ‘Rising Stars’ concert.

I offer cello lessons to pupils of all ages and abilities. My approach is tailored to each individual student and their own personal goal, whether this is taking graded exams, working towards a performance, learning a specific piece or just playing for fun. I will always create a fun and engaging atmosphere for students and value their own input on how they would like to shape their musical journey. I offer lessons ranging from 30 minutes to 1 hour for all ages and abilities and your first introductory lesson is free. Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions!
