About Anna
I have studied music at The New School's College of Performing Arts (School of Jazz and Contemporary Music) as a voice major and have obtained my BFA in Jazz Performance and a BA in contemporary music at The New School's Lang College of Liberal Arts this year. I work as an independent musician under the artist name Anna Hay. My original music is a blend of pop-rock, pop-punk and some country influences. With 17 years of music training in many different styles, I welcome any style of music that you want to work on. Together we will make sure that your love for music always stays at the core of our lessons.

I want to get to know your music taste first, so that we can choose songs to work on together. I will prepare a lesson plan that will feel digestible to you and meet you where you're at. The love for the music is at the core of my teaching. Many of our lessons will encourage you to trust your intuition as I will assist you in applying professional techniques in order to get the sound you want. Students of any level and age are welcome. I think it is important that we leave room for you to express your wishes in the lessons. I also welcome helping you find your voice in songwriting or composition as well and encourage creative experimentation if desired.
