Hello! My name is Nicholas, but I usually just go by Nick. I'm earning my AA in Music and transferring to a four-year university soon for a BA in Music Therapy!
I can't wait to work with you if I get the privilege! I believe that the key to my success as a tutor and to your success as my student is an unwavering sense of patience, a willingness to put in the hard work needed to achieve educational goals, and most of all, a positive and eager attitude toward whatever material we cover together! Who said learning can't be both enlightening AND fun?
I've gotten consistent A's with that attitude in both high school and college and I truly believe that I can help you do the same! As a tutor, I want to work FOR YOU! I believe that I have just as much to learn from you as you do from me and I aim to treat you as my student, mentor, and most importantly, my equal. I also aim to get as much out of the time I spend with you possible, whether it be better learning skills, better grades, approaching problem-solving from new perspectives, and everything in between!

I love to teach students via the Socratic method: I like to engage one-on-one with them and review key portions of the lessons we go over to instill a sense of engagement and comprehension. I can always adjust my teaching style depending on the individual needs of my students!
A typical lesson plan with me would involve a clear beginning, middle, and end to pace both myself and my student for time and brief breaks if a student becomes overwhelmed or needs encouragement to continue.
What sets me apart as a tutor is that I'm very adaptable to student limitations (physical, mental, monetary, etc.) and will do everything in my power to make a learning experience with me a fun and rewarding endeavor!
These lessons would be for K-12-Community College Level.
English (AP Language and Composition, K-12 basics, Creative Writing, Composition, Literacy, Essays, etc.).
Spanish (I-III, Elementary-Intermediate Reading, Speaking and Writing).
