About Preet
I have a densely inhabited mind. I've always been a person that hoards souvenirs that feel like they hold a piece of an experience. The brand story has always been just as important to me as the memory of experiencing the product. When I was younger I didn’t have the vocabulary for this, but since 2013 I have been working with brands big and small, across models and I have taught myself to turn my obsession for a good brand story into brand strategy that is sincere to the values and the ideals of the business.
But go 16 years further back, and the origin story starts to look like an ambitious spider; my interests were never left at the hobby stage. Every interest was turned into a discipline to master until one had vocational proficiency.
Fine arts, Odissi dance, music, creative writing, photography and design occupied a large chunk of my formative years. There was a lot of time spent exploring forests, building things out of scrap, reading every book in sight and breaking every social interaction down till there were only recognizable patterns and logic left. I grew up in a family of academics with a touch of eccentricity and a strong background in creative and performance arts. Every part of life, my personality, my neurodivergence—some diagnosed, some not noticed, the community and the actual location of my childhood are entirely responsible for my identity.

I teach based on how you learn. Some people see math as logic, and some see it as patterns. Some see language as a sum of vocabulary and grammar, others find language to be an equation you solve for x.
I am kind, empathetic and fun and that is all that's special about me. Everything else that's special about the class comes from our collaboration. I'm neurodivergent myself, so I provide a safe space for every kind of mind.
I am available for students that are starting to learn, and those that are heading to college and everyone in between. I am also open to teaching adults that are revisiting learning. See you in there.
