About Kushagra

Hi, I'm an engineering graduate from NIT Surathkal (B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering) and have also completed a Postgraduate Programme in Data Science from IIIT Bangalore.

Over the years, I've worked across networking, data analytics, product management and artificial intelligence, including my time at Cisco. This journey has given me the opportunity to see how mathematical and scientific concepts are applied to solve real-world problems.

But beyond my professional experience, Maths and Physics have always been subjects I've genuinely enjoyed. What fascinates me most is the logic behind them, understanding why something works rather than simply knowing a formula.

That's also what motivates me to teach.

I believe that every student is capable of understanding Maths and Science when concepts are explained in a simple, relatable way. Sometimes, all it takes is a different explanation, a practical example or the freedom to ask questions without hesitation.

I want to help students develop the confidence to think independently, question assumptions and approach problems with curiosity rather than fear.

My aim is to make learning an enjoyable experience where students don't just prepare for their next exam, but build a foundation that stays with them long after it.

My Teaching Approach: Understand the WHY, Not Just the HOW!

Have you ever wondered *why* a formula works instead of just memorizing it for an exam?

I believe Maths and Physics become much easier and more enjoyable when the fundamentals are clear. My goal is not just to help students score better marks, but to develop their curiosity, logical thinking and confidence in solving problems independently.

# How My Classes Are Different

- Concepts First, Formulas Later: We start with the basics, understand the reasoning behind a concept, and gradually build towards more complex problems. No rushing through chapters or blindly memorizing formulas.

- Understanding Over Memorization: I focus on helping students understand why something works, rather than simply remembering formulas or following fixed steps. I encourage questions, curiosity and independent thinking.

- Real-World Connections: Why do we need Algebra? Where is Trigonometry used? How does Physics explain everyday phenomena? I use relatable examples to make abstract concepts interesting and easier to understand.

- Interactive Problem-Solving: My classes aren't one-way lectures. Using a digital whiteboard, we work through problems step by step, discuss different approaches and encourage students to think through solutions themselves.

- Learning at Your Own Pace: Every student learns differently. I adapt my explanations and the difficulty of questions to each student's understanding, ensuring their fundamentals are clear before moving ahead.

We begin by understanding a concept and connecting it to something familiar. Next, we work through examples together, followed by problems the student attempts independently. We finish by clearing doubts, revisiting difficult areas and identifying what to practice next.
