About Carrie

My name is Carrie. Apparently I'm supposed to talk about my professionalism and how smart I am, but that seems kind of weird.I've taken a lot of classes in a lot of stuff, but I'm not going to know everything. I'm a pretty good writer, and I'm about to publish my first book in April. It's actually a graphic novel. I think that people have their own ways of writing things and that's really cool. I've been told that I write with a lot of dry British humor, but I don't know how accurate that is.

About the class

I believe in soft teaching. I don't think that students strive from harsh criticisms, but from constructive and kindly spoken criticisms. And I think that students should be able to be themselves around me. I believe that that leads to the best kind of learning, since you tend to learn best from someone that you can trust and genuinely respect, not from feeling that I am simply an authority figure.
