About Helena
Hi, I’m Helena, a native Spanish speaker from Barcelona. I’ve always been curious about languages and how they connect us to different cultures and open up the world, which is what led me to study in Spain and Italy and later work in Ireland and Thailand.
Over the years, English has been a big part of my life and my career, but more recently I’ve really felt the pull to share my own language, Spanish, in a more personal way. I enjoy helping students build confidence and actually feel comfortable using the language, while also bringing in a bit of culture and real-life context so it feels more natural and meaningful.

My approach is interactive and tailored to each student, with a focus on building confidence and improving results. I combine exam-focused work, including past papers, listening practice, writing and grammar, with speaking and practical use of the language, so students feel prepared for all parts of the exam.
I keep lessons engaging and varied, using different types of activities, including games and digital resources, to help reinforce vocabulary and make things easier to remember.
