• Do you speak this language fluently because of your origins or because a teacher inspired you to learn?

  Yo hablo perfectamente español porque nací y crecí en México, además tengo licenciatura, diplomados, cursos de los cuales soy capaz de entablar conversaciones profesionales, de negocios y coloquiales. Tengo 8 años de experiencia hablando en público y compartiendo herramientas de crecimiento y desarrollo personal basados en mi experiencia.

• Can you name a living, historical or fictional character that you think is the emblematic representative of the language's culture?

  Uno de los grandes escritores de la literatura mexicana por ejemplo es: Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra "Don Quijote de la Mancha." Por otro lado tenemos a Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz. Además en cuestión de arte reconocido a nivel mundial tenemos a Frida Khalo y Diego Rivera ya que en la actualidad podemos admirar sus pinturas, las cuales plasman arte y belleza pura.

  One of the great writers of Mexican literature for example is: Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra "Don Quixote de la Mancha". On the other hand we have Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz. In addition, in terms of world renowned art, we have Frida Khalo and Diego Rivera, whose paintings, which capture art and pure beauty, can be admired today.

• Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or behaviour in the language that you particularly like?

  En la cultura mexicana existe un sin fin de grandiosas tradiciones pero particularmente puedo mencionar que "Día de Muertos" es una de las más bellas tradiciones del estado de Michoacán, México. Estado del cual soy originaria.

  In Mexican culture there is an endless number of great traditions but I can particularly mention that "Day of the Dead" is one of the most beautiful traditions of the state of Michoacan, Mexico. State of which I am originally from.

• Why does speaking this language matter to you?

  Mi pasión y mi objetivo al compartir y enseñar el idioma español es que no solo enseño como tal gramática sino que comparto cultura, cultura que a mis estudiantes les fascina conocer y visitar algún día.

  My passion and my goal in sharing and teaching the Spanish language is that I not only teach grammar as such but I share culture, culture that my students are fascinated to know and visit someday.

• What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?

  La principal dificultad es que el idioma español es muy rico en gramática pero con la práctica y ejemplos aterrizados en ejemplos de la vida cotidiana del estudiante, se adquiere más rápido el aprendizaje del mismo.

  The main difficulty is that the Spanish language is very rich in grammar but with practice and examples grounded in examples from the student's daily life, the learning of the language is acquired more quickly.

• Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.

  Una anécdota valiosa es cuando por primera vez hablé en público para 200 personas, ese día por alguna razón falló el audio y sonido del cual tuve que improvisar con una dinámica de rompe hielo utilizando la canción "Will We Rock You" de Queen.

  A valuable anecdote is when for the first time I spoke in public for 200 people, that day for some reason the audio and sound failed and I had to improvise with an icebreaker dynamic using the song "Will We Rock You" by Queen.

• How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?

  Un viaje más que aumentar mi conocimiento del idioma español me ayudó a aumentar mi confianza y me percaté que no existen límites para lograr el éxito o lo que tu quieras lograr en la vida. Los límites son condiciones mentales y como una condición es temporal tú tienes la capacidad de romper con eso.

  A trip more than increasing my knowledge of the Spanish language helped me to increase my confidence and I realized that there are no limits to achieve success or whatever you want to achieve in life. Limits are mental conditions and since a condition is temporary you have the ability to break through that.
