About Naomi
Hey guys! I am Naomi. I was born and raised in Japan but I moved to Australia when I was 18 because I loved learning English and I always wanted to study abroad and become fluent in English.
I went to Griffith University in Brisbane and completed a Bachelor of Linguistics and Languages in 2016 and a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Teaching in 2017.
I have been teaching for 8 years now in a wide range of settings including primary school, high school, face to face tutoring and online. If you are a high school student, I am familiar with QCAA curriculum and more than happy to help you with your Japanese studies.
I love learning languages. I speak Japanese, English, a little bit of Korean and I know Japanese sign language. I'd love to learn AUSLAN one day. I understand how hard it is to master a language but I also know how rewarding it is when you start understanding another language and become able to communicate with people from different parts of the world.
And I hope I will be able to help you with your language learning journey and achieve whatever goal you have.
My hobbies include playing tennis, snowboarding, watching baseball, watercolour painting, and gardening.
